Hey, I know, it's easier said than done. My cats are all rescues who have spent time outdoors. The second the door is opened they run for it. I spend most of the warmer months yelling "get the cat" or chasing the cat myself.
Raina's Cat Rescue is a group of volunteers who are trying to find homeless cats new forever homes. We are located in Cambridge, Ontario. We are not trying to make money from the cats but we ask for an adoption fee that will pay for the cost of vetting, vaccines and spaying/neutering. The cost is $100 for female cats and $75 for male cats. If interested in any of the cats on our pages please contact us at rainascatrescue@gmail.com
Pawsome image! I take more flak for telling people to keep indoor cats inside. For some reason everybody wants to let their cats out where they get attacked by dogs, coyotes, cars, etc. Two of Syssy’s kittens were poisoned by one of our neighbors when the people who adopted them, let them out.
ReplyDeleteI think cats are definitely safer indoors, but think they should get to explore the outdoors on a regular basis. How boring is it to be confined to the interior all the time? That's also a pretty certain way of making our kitties overweight. A friend of mine taught her two cats to walk on a leash that attaches to their respective harness, and they have the greatest time walking around, even climbing up on some trees, while being supervised.
